Welcome to the Hess Skating School, our new Learn to Skate program at Hess Ice Rink.  We now offer superior instruction using the Learn to Skate USA program.  Our highly qualified and competent staff will teach in the most rewarding and FUN way, guaranteeing the most enjoyable experience for everyone.  The school is offered for all ages and levels.  So if you’re dreaming of Olympic gold, NHL fame or just recreational skating, this is the place to be!

Our mission is to create and provide a positive and FUN environment for all skaters to learn, experience and enjoy the art of skating. The foundation of the program is based on a safe and solid skill progression that provides all skaters the necessary tools to reach their goal, be it recreational or competitive.

With a focus on health and well-being of our athletes, members, and all participatns, Learn to Skate USA continues to follow U.S. Figeure Skating's protocols regarding the coronavirus (COVID-19). Updates from U.S. Figure Skating will be posted on www.usfigureskating.org

 

 

SKATE USA REGISTRATION

All participants are encouraged to register with Learn to Skate USA.  The membership fee for participants is $16 per year and includes a welcome email, a welcome packet with their member card and number, skater record book, parent handbook, Learn to Skate USA magazine, sports accident insurance and information about ice skating. PLEASE DRESS WARM!  GLOVES ARE A MUST.  HELMETS ARE REQUIRED FOR THOSE 7 & UNDER.  LOOSE LAYERS!  THIN SOCKS WORK BEST FOR PROPER SKATE FIT.
